The Monroe Chamber of Commerce proudly operates the Monroe Visitor Information and Welcome Center where residents and visitors alike discover something new and interesting about Monroe!

The V.I.C. is not just for tourist and visitors we are great resource for new residents as well. Come learn more about Monroe and the amazing community you live in!  The Visitor Information Center is located at 125 S Lewis St and is open year-round run by the Monroe Chamber of Commerce. The City of Monroe, Monroe Chamber of Commerce, and the Downtown Monroe Association have proudly collaborated to bring you the Choose Monroe Magazine! We hope it inspires you to discover our amazing city and the Skykomish Valley region. The magazine features articles, events calendars, highlights places to visit, eat and shop, and other resources that contribute to making Monroe an exciting, dynamic and thriving community.

Monroe is treasured by its residents for it’s healthy, active and outdoorsy lifestyle. The sports capital of Snohomish County, Monroe is a destination for athletes and outdoor enthusiasts year-round. Featuring NASCAR and demo events at Evergreen Speedway, premier wakeboard and triathlon competitions at Lake Tye and year-round events at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds.

Take a hike at one of our many trails, go fishing in the Skykomish river and check out the NW’s most beautiful scenic drives: The Cascade Loop!

Monroe is home to a vibrant downtown filled with upscale dining, vintage shops, a historic museum and arts theatre. Whether you are coming to attend one of our free concert series like Music in the Park, experience the Vaux Swift spectacle, discovering a new craft brewery or savoring that cup of espresso from one of our local coffee roasters, your adventure doesn’t stop here, it’s where it begins. 

Monroe is a great city in Snohomish County just 30 miles northeast of Seattle. We have about 19,000 residents and three major ways to get us-Highway 2, 522 or 203. We are a major stopping point for visitors heading from or to play at Stevens Pass and the great Cascades.
