The Monroe Chamber of Commerce—Connecting Monroe since 1969
Who We Are
The Monroe Chamber of Commerce is the premier member-driven business league in the City of Monroe. The MCC works on behalf of private-sector business and the community to develop partnerships; support prosperous conditions for business and facilitate growth needed for a stable tax base in Monroe.
What We Do
The MCC provides business networking and resources; education; government advocacy; and visitor development programs to attract and increase outside visitor spending to subsidize the local economy.
The MCC engages in business best-practices to enhance and increase the overall standard of living and quality of life for Monroe residents.
Connect with Us
Everyone enjoys being connected. We are drawn to people and places that make it easy to meet and get to know others. Connections help us live comfortably, do business, relocate, choose a place to spend a weekend and even choose a place to retire. The Monroe Chamber started back in 1969 with this philosophy. We’ve been a group of community connectors for over 44 years bringing people, non-profits and local government together with business. It doesn’t stop there for us – each member of our board has a sincere passion for Monroe – and it shows.
We invite you to connect with us for yourself and see!
For more information call us today at 360.794.5488.
We’ve designed our new Chamber website www.ChooseMonroe.com expressly to build connections between residents, visitors and members because they are often one and the same. Each member gets their own web page to enter and upload content they manage themselves, and have access to the Members Only area where business to business information is shared. Customers can “like” your business directly from your page on www.ChooseMonroe.com and “share” your listing directly to their contacts on over 100 social media channels. Additional tools like interactive maps, itinerary builders are key features designed to drive more business to you.
Location, Location, Location
The Chamber manages visitor development (tourism) for the City of Monroe with Lodging Taxes and the new www.ChooseMonroe.com website. We are connected to the Visitors tab on the official City site, www.MonroeWA.gov. This new partnership helps businesses by placing them a few clicks away from where residents and visitors go for information every day.
Events and Promotions
The Monroe Chamber has monthly membership lunches on the second Tuesday of each month, After Hours events hosted by member businesses and other networking opportunities. We also proudly produce three signature community events in Downtown each year. These events would not be possible without support from the City of Monroe. Both events offer wonderful opportunities to local business to promote and support these quality events.
- In July we help organize the Lake Tye Park Summer Concert Series.
- In August we produce the Monroe Fair Days Parade and Market on the first Saturday of the Fair.
- In December, we produce Light Up Monroe, a winter festival and tree lighting event.
The Chamber supports other events throughout the year as well such as the Easter Egg Hunt and National Night Out Against Crime.
